Brailie's First Words
Anyone who knows me will not be surprised at the fact that Brailie has now learned how to say the word (or something very close to) "Cheese." She started with mom, then dad, next came cup and now as her fourth word: Cheese. I couldn't be more proud. Spoken like a true Konopelski descendant.

Allie's Prayers
A few weeks ago-about 4 or so we talked to Grammy over the computer. She mentioned that she was needing to use up the apples she took home from our house and that she needed to get up and get some supper made but she didn't want to. Allie has been saying this phrase in her prayers ever since, "And bless Grammy that she will make supper and bless her to do the apples." What a little sweetie and I know my mom needs all the inspiration to get those meals cooked that she can get. Ask and ye shall receive around this house.

Quotes by Allie
Sunday Dec 5th was a scream fest-girls were sick, Brailie is cutting a bunch of teeth at once and Allie is going through a phase (at least I hope); the "I don't want to", "I don't need you", "I'll do it myself" phase. Joyous.
Yesterday at lunch Brailie was screaming her head off in her high chair and refusing to eat. I was getting frustrated and kept telling her she needed to eat and that everything was okay and she could stop crying. Allie out of no where says, "Brai, sometimes you have to do things that you don't like." I laughed my head off.
Night time brought a fourth round of screaming, this time over Allie going to bed. We kept putting her back, putting her back. She was screaming and crying and finally said, "I don't want to go to be early. I want to stay up all night." Oh brother!!!!

Allie quote
This morning I was feeding the girls breakfast and Brailie was screeching as she normally does when she is not getting food fast enough and I have been telling her not to scream at the table and this morning I was getting particularly annoyed and told her she would be turned around for a time out if she kept screaming. Allie piped in, "stop that screaming Brailie-or you will have a time out." I said to her, "don't be bossy-you are not the mother here," and she said, "no, I'm the dad."
Life with a 2 year old
Wed night Allie woke up 3 times in the night-the third time ending up in our bed at 5:37am to be exact. We were not impressed and have avoided having her sleep with us at all costs but recently with storms she has been scared and has ended up in our bed a few too many times. Anyway she ended up in between us and I said as soon as she laid down, "shh-no talking go to sleep." She leans over to Greg and whispers, "I love you."
When we "woke up" in the morning for good Greg asked how I slept through the night and I said, "about the same as you, " and he said, "no-you didn't have a foot down your underwear for the last hour." The joys of parenthood.

Quotes from Allie
Yesterday I was making dinner and Allie was standing beside me on a chair and I saw that it had a bunch of red crayon marks all over the back of it and I said to her, "Who drew all over this chair with a crayon," and she kept going about her business and said, "Um Daddy."
