Before the summer started we made a list (kind of) of things we wanted to do over the summer and one of those was to sleep in the tent with both girls. Well school was about to start and we still hadn't done it so I told Greg we had to get the tent out and do it. The girls were super excited-I however was a bit worried because it meant having Brailie sleep somewhere with out a crib to confine her and she has never done that. We decided to watch Tangled until it was time to sleep. Brailie wandered all over the tent, climbing over everyone until she finally just laid down and was out. It actually was so much better than I thought it was going to be. The moon was super bright which made it hard for me to sleep but otherwise we slept good (even through trains and dogs and chickens-which usually doesn't happen). The girls were really excited to still see the moon when they woke up in the morning. I think we will camp like this a few more times before we really try the real thing. The girls think it is awesome.

The Wedding
A couple of weekends ago we went to the "cousins" wedding reception weekend with two of Greg's cousins having receptions. We also went to the sealing of one (his cousin Jesi) who got married in Manti. That was probably the best sealing I have ever been to with the sealer explaining the temple covenants so well. It was beautiful. After a long day we got to the receptions at the time my girls usually go to bed. Let's just say we left kicking and screaming and had "a really nice time."

Baseball Trip
Baseball season is upon us. The time has come to sit out in the blazing sun and watch baseball. Greg has a young team this year (and that provides some comic relief) but they are doing pretty well. These pictures were from our first bus trip which was to my old stompin grounds in Orderville. The girls love the bus and Grandma and Grandpa came this time (cause Grandpa drove the bus) and that was even better because one of the most entertaining things on the trip was throwing ice at Grandpa.

Helping in the kitchen
When visiting with my aunt and uncle a while back (I believe it was them) my uncle asked if I had been letting the girls help me in the kitchen. The honest truth-NO! I have tried in the past-that always leads to Allie wanting to put her arms as far down in the flour container as she possibly can and licking her fingers and sticking them in the sugar. Never mind add Brailie to the mix. But I knew I needed to and so I have tried to make a better effort to let them help. Thankfully they lose interest fast and so I let them each add something to the mixer (maybe a couple of things and they are ready for something else) but we are improving.

Videos Videos
I appologize for being so behind on this blog. I feel like I am behind on everything so it has nothing to do with this in particular and I know how much checking my blog means to my mom so I am doubly sorry. I have a bunch of videos to share so I will do that for today until i can get pictures up.
We wanted to find a bigger bike for Allie at DI but they didn't have any but they did have this scooter which of course she had to have and likes to ride (sometimes but not always). She is pretty good at it though. Check it out.

This is a video of the girls dancing to their new favorite song, "Baby" by Justin Bieber. You can't really hear the music but you can see that Brailie is learning to follow in her sisters footsteps in the performing department.

And finally this is a video of the cousins dancing at Auntie Helen and Uncle Doug's house. Uncle Doug had put on some polka tapes and the kids were dancing and I was in heaven listening to the music and remembering when I was little and my dad would play and we would dance all over the house.

Chatter Box
Brailie is singing "one, two buckle my shoe, three, four, shut the door, five six, pick up sticks, seven, eight lay them straight, nine ten a big fat hen" (only by nine ten she got hungry and wanted to start over).

Puddle Jumping
On Thursday afternoon we had a short but big storm which put down a good amount of water. A couple of months ago the girls and I discovered that the library parking lot gets the best puddle after a storm. On this day I was feeling pretty cranky and lousy as a mom but when the girls wanted to go in the puddles I finally said yes and told Greg we should take them to the library because there they would just get wet but not all muddy. It is a huge puddle and my girls-WHAT WAS I THINKING????
