When visiting with my aunt and uncle a while back (I believe it was them) my uncle asked if I had been letting the girls help me in the kitchen. The honest truth-NO! I have tried in the past-that always leads to Allie wanting to put her arms as far down in the flour container as she possibly can and licking her fingers and sticking them in the sugar. Never mind add Brailie to the mix. But I knew I needed to and so I have tried to make a better effort to let them help. Thankfully they lose interest fast and so I let them each add something to the mixer (maybe a couple of things and they are ready for something else) but we are improving.

Happy Birthday To Me
I had a great birthday. I used to hate my birthday but birthday's are so much better when you are married and when you have kids that you can hear down the hall saying, "is mama coming, is mama coming." And who tell you they have a surprise for you but you have to close your eyes first. The girls decorated cute cards and were so excited to give me my gifts. I got drawers for my craft room, lotion, new pj's, a super cute summer basket, and a gift certificate to Deseret Book (plus my mom sent money and there are two more gifts on the way-one from Steve and one more from Greg). While I was at work Greg took the girls to Grandma's to bake me cupcakes. We fed the girls lunch and then had Ray's burgers for our lunch (that was purposely planned so we wouldn't have to share). I got to sew for the afternoon and after super the girls took me to the Chow Hound for an ice cream (only I drove). It was a wonderful day-oh ya and Greg watched the food revolution with me in the evening. Thanks to my sweet family for a great day.

Girl Time
Allie begged to put on makeup all morning (May 28th) and so I finally said she could while I painted my toes nails. When Brailie saw me doing that she kept pointed to her toes and saying, "pretty" so I gave in a painted her's too. We told dad we were having girl time. Allie let him take a picture and then told him to go to the kitchen.
