Picture Catch up.

Here are just a few pictures that we have had on our cameras that we need to catch up on.
The girls and I (love this one).
The girls talking to the baby.
The girls on their second fishing trip to the mountains with Greg.
This one is just cute of the girls getting ready to go swim.
We got this on our way home from Price.  It was raining and sunny at the same time and this rainbow was just so super bright.
Greg got this of the sunset one night-how beautiful.

My birthday

I guess Greg just uploaded these photos so I thought I would post them.  These are from my birthday.  Greg and the girls had some good surprises for me.  I apologize for all the pictures of me in my pj's.  The girls and Grandma made me a card and snuck out and bought a present while Greg had taken me to Grand Junction for shopping and dinner.

And they chose out this super handy new watering can which I really needed.
I got a new waffle maker
And I got a new blender too.
Greg and I collaborated to make a yummy dinner and I made myself angel food cake with strawberries and real whipped cream-my favorite.
It was a great day.  The next week Greg took the girls to Monroe over night as the second part of my birthday present.  I asked for one whole day by myself to sew.  I got almost 2 full days.  The girls had a blast with their dad and Grandma and Grandpa and I worked my tail off on all kinds of projects at home.  Thanks to Greg and the girls for a great birthday.  Love you all.

Two girls and a bucket of water

The girls asked for a bucket of water and a few cups and bowls the other day.  They wanted to clean off their bikes.  When I went out to check on them it looked like their attention had quickly shifted from the bikes to them.  They were standing in the water bucket dumping cups of water on their heads just giggling and having the greatest time.  I just left them alone to play.  They were drenched within minutes but it was a hot day so I don't blame them-probably felt wonderful.  i love it when they play well together.

The new playhouse

Our neighbors the Hughes family has a little outside playhouse that the girls absolutely adore.  It is a pretty girly one but I figured if we could just find any kind of outside playhouse the girls would be happy.  And I was right.  I found this one on KSL classifieds.  We were going up to Provo for Stadium of Fire and Auntie Helen was giving us her old table and so we just decided to see if we could find a playhouse and a kitchen that we liked and we did.  I got the playhouse and a nearly brand new kitchen (we have it inside-pictures to come) for $180.00.

We put the girls old kitchen inside the playhouse (which is a good size).  They have been making mud pies ever since.

4th of July Extravaganza

This year for the 4th of July Greg surprised me with tickets to Stadium of Fire again.  We went last year but we hadn't planned on making it a yearly event.  This year they had the Beach Boys which Greg loves and Scotty McCreary who won American Idol last year and we voted for him every week.  We were excited to get to go.  We decided to make it into a 3 day event.  On Tuesday we went up to Provo with Greg's parents truck and trailer.  We dropped the trailer off at my Aunts house and we went up to SLC and West Jordan to pick up a new toy kitchen and a playhouse we found on KSL classifieds for the girls.  Both went well except for the air conditioning cutting in and out in the truck and it being super hot and the girls being super tired.  We stayed that night at Auntie Helen's house.  My girls just are so comfortable there.  There aren't really even any toys but they manage to find something to do all the time that we are there and they just talk so comfortably with my aunt and uncle and just love visiting.  I love it too.  The next day we met up with my friends Matt and Jill to go to the Provo Parade.  This is a major big deal parade so we didn't exactly have front row seats but good enough considering the girls had their ears plugged most of the time.
Then it was on to naps at Auntie Helen's while Greg and Matt went golfing, followed by a barbecue also with Jill and Matt and their 3 kids.  All the kids splashed in the paddling pool and our girls loved playing with their kids.  We had a great dinner with the most amazing hamburgers ever.  Then we hung around for a while before it was time to go to the concert.  Matt and Jill were amazing and offered to drive us to the concert and then pick us up afterwards so that I wouldn't have to walk so far in the blazing heat being pregnant.  Matt dropped us off 1 block away.  It was a perfect.  By the time we got to our seats (which were 4 rows from the top) I didn't feel like passing out or dying (good right).  We got the girls their promised slushes and found our seats and only had to wait a few minutes for the show to start.  What amazing friends.

This is how Allie spent the first hour of the show, ears plugged and in tears because it was too loud.  She finally snapped out of it after a while and only had to plug her ears again when the fireworks started and she actually had fun (thank goodness).  Brailie was happy as long as she had something to drink in her hands.

Both performances were awesome.  The best part was the energy of the crowd during the Beach Boys.  It was really fun and actually perfect weather too.

The fireworks really are something amazing.  They are loud and bright and huge.  The girls loved them but didn't like the sound.
Jill came and picked us up after the show also which was so good as the girls only had so many steps left in them.  They really did amazing and much better than we expected considering I really couldn't carry anyone and Greg had his arms full with bleacher seats and a blanket.  After a good sleep at Matt and Jill's we woke up to a yummy breakfast and rain.  Oh what beautiful rain.  The girls played in the rain and loved playing with each other.  It was so good to visit with good and dear friends.  Then we got ready to head back to Auntie Helen's.  There we had a yummy lunch and then Greg and Uncle Doug loaded up their dining room table and chairs which they were giving to us plus a huge load of wood.  Auntie Helen and I visited while the girls played in the rain buckets and got soaked.  It was such a great day but a long one too.  The girls were out fast asleep in 5 minutes and I think I gave it the old college try and lasted 10 minutes.  It was good to be home by evening even though we didn't have rain.  What a great little getaway.  Thanks to everyone who was a part of it.

Fishing Trip with Dad and Grandpa

Greg decided that he wanted to take the girls on a fishing trip up to the La Sals by Moab with his dad.  I told him I thought he was braver than I was but he was sure it would be fine and the girls were so excited.  Actually when they go places with just their dad they are amazingly awesome.  It is probably because he is much more relaxed than me.
Me waiting for Grandpa to arrive.  I decided to post it because I actually look good in a picture Greg took of me.

The girls waiting for Grandpa to come.

The best part of the trip-the snacks.

Both girls caught a fish but after only a few minutes decided that they didn't want to fish any more.  They just wanted to pretend fish and eat snacks by Grandpa.  I am sure they talked his ear off.  Greg said they were so incredibly good.

More snacks.

Sneaking another snack.

Proof that the snacks were good and Brailie was worn out.

Can you say bedraggled?

One more chip face.

And even after a long day of fishing they still had huge smiles.  I think it was a big success.  Oh and it was cause the men caught almost 75 fish between the two of them.

On the way home pics by my hubby.  Aren't they great?
