Fall Fun

We are absolutely in love with fall around our house.  The weather in Green River is perfect in the fall.  We couldn't ask for anything nicer.  The girls have been playing outside a ton and we have been going for walks again and we finally got some pumpkins.  Yay for fall.

A hayride.  The girls love hay rides.  They would have loved the ones my dad used to do.

These turkeys were a little miffed at \Greg and were ready to attack.  He is doing a good job not showing any fear.

Fall Leaves with an Attitude

I am going to be honest and say there are lots of things about Green River that I don't like; the fact that the grocery store never has anything that is in their sale flyer, would be one of them.  But there are also a lot of things about Green River that I do like; the mild winters, the cheapest thrift store I have ever been too, friends just across the back alley, and fantastic fall's-including these gorgeous trees in our city park.

 And I love that I have my sweet and sassy family here too.

Pumpkins in the pumpkin patch

Last Monday we went out to the pumpkin patch with Grandma to get some pumpkins while daddy was hunting.  The girls love pumpkins just as much as their mom does.  They loved picking out ones to take home.  We got some really great ones for our front steps.  Thanks Grandma for asking us to go.

Fall Leaves

Sunday Oct 9th the leaves at the church were perfect and crunchy.  I told the girls that after church we would come and crunch them and that we did.  Brailie did not like leaves falling on her head but Allie had a blast until she picked up a handful of leaves and was stung by a bee.  She was solid screams after that for a good 2 hours.  By the next day she had forgotten the pain and was good-but is now very leary of bees.  Poor thing.  Good thing she wasn't allergic. Pumpkin Picking

Oh dear I am so far behind on this family blog. This is from Sept 30th. We had a home baseball game and it went really fast which left us with a few minutes of daylight in the evening and I asked Greg if we could PLEASE go out to the pumpkin patch and see if the gates were open to get some pumpkins. So we went and the gate was open and I nearly had a heart attack because of all the beautiful pumpkins. I could have taken a whole semi trailer of them home. Greg would only let me have what would fit in the blazer. Why weren't we in the truck???? Here are the highlights.

She was looking around though for some good ones. She has yet to learn that they are all good.

I spotted this field of giant pumpkins from far. I knew it because of their bright orange color. I wanted to cry. I have always wanted a giant pumpkin. Greg allowed me two and made me feel guilty for wanting two huge ones so I got one huge one and one not so huge.

Look at all of them. I suppose I could take the girls out some time while Greg is in school and see if I could lift one or 17 more.
