Swimming

I think we have a little fish!!! This is Allie in her new swimming suit that Uncle Steve bought her along with the matching dolphin swimmies. I had our little splashing pool out earlier in the summer (it holds about 2 inches of water and sprays water in the air and stuff). Allie has loved splashing in it but I decided to get out our deeper pool and see how she would like that one. Let me just say that getting two children in swim suits, with swim diapers, sun screen and floaties, hats, swim toys, blankets, umbrellas and myself in my swim suit by myself and out the door to even test out the swimming pool is a task and a half (getting everyone undressed and dried off-even crazier) but my kids loved it so it was worth it.

Allie loved every second of swimming. At first we started like this-fully dawned with floating apparatuses.

Soon we threw out the princess floaty and the next day she even took off the dolphin floaties. She learned to float on her back and tummy, and blow bubbles in the water all on day one. She even got her whole head wet and wasn't bothered.
